Hedera algeriensis Whipped Cream Danae the clumps of Salvia 'Santa
Yard notes & kiln story
Description
the clumps of Salvia 'Santa Barbara' are topped with spikes of fuzzy purple with a nicely contrasting lighter purple lip
During the growing season
then flatten out late in the growing season
This quirky little fern prefers rocky alkaline soils
They are showy in bloom and the foliage while not show-stopping is quite handsome most of the year
Hedera algeriensis Whipped Cream Danae the clumps of Salvia 'SantaWe really like this variegated adult selection of the Algerian ivy cultivar Hedera 'Gloire de Marengo' from Richard Davis of the Ivy Farm. For us, it makes a 2' tall x 18" wide clump of large, glaucous green leaves edged with a wide white border a stunning evergreen clump for dry sites in the garden.
