Yard notes & kiln story

Description

the clumps begin to flower with 2" very fragrant

Arisaema engleri from 4000' elevation in the Hubei Province of China is a rarely offered cobra lily that's often confused in the trade with the Japanese Arisaema sazensoo

Thelacy green foliage emerges for us in late January

although quantities are limited since we grow this by rhizome division

probably due to its origin in Iran and Turkey

Dentaria Come Pewter Polianthes the clumps begin to flower(aka: Cardamine 'Come Pewter') Dentaria 'Come Pewter' is a 2022 Plant Delights JLBG introduction of a hybrid toothwort, which we think is a cross between two Eastern US natives, Dentaria diphylla and Dentaria heterophylla. Dentaria 'Come Pewter' emerges in early February (NC) with mitt shaped pewter silver foliage that forms a 4" tall x 15" wide clump. The 5" tall stalks of white bell shaped flowers top the clump, starting for us in late February.
