This is a beautifully tailored vintage early 1950s era three piece suit

it’s noticeable that the button is missing

They are in excellent condition - they look like they were never used

Vintage 1950s Black Silk Suit by Hattie Carnegie - S beaver Chesa was a New YorkFrom the 50s here's an after five or cocktail suit made of black silk with an embossed velvet pattern. The silk has rectangular velvet like patches over its entirety. The jacket does up with five matching silk covered buttons down the front and has a peplum at the bottom. It has 3 4 length sleeves. The skirt is cut fairly straight in a below the knee length and does up with a metal zipper at the side. The jacket is fully lined and the skirt is unlined
